Labeling
The main inscriptions shall contain:
- Full or conventional, duly registered name of the recipient;
- The name of the destination point;
- The number of places in the consignment and the consignment number of the place in the consignment.
- Provision to the carrier of documents confirming the health status of the animal, as well as permits required by the national authorities of the countries of export, transit and import.
- The full or conventional, duly registered name of the consignor.
- Name of the point of departure.
Information inscriptions shall contain:
- Gross and net weight of the cargo item, kg;
- Overall dimensions of the cargo place, cm;
- Volume of the cargo place, cc.
The overall dimensions of the place are not indicated if they do not exceed 0.7m.
The consignor is responsible for applying clear, correct and precise consignment markings, handling marks and special labels to all packages of cargo. The shipper must remove old markings from reused packages.
Transport markings on packages of cargo are applied by the servicing organization of the airport of departure.
Special signs must be used for transportation of certain categories of goods, such as perishable, fragile, dangerous, live animals:
- PERISHABLE" sign - "PERISHABLE". Attached to shipments that have a limited shelf life.
- FRAGILE. Attaches to packages of goods containing precision instruments, fragile (glass) objects, etc., which require special care in their handling during loading, unloading and transportation.
- The "THIS WAY UP" orientation sign. Attached to packages containing items authorized to be stowed and transported in a specific position.
- LIVE ANIMALS" sign. Attaches to cargo containing live animals. Precautions must be taken when loading, unloading, transporting and temporarily storing such cargo.
The markings must be distinct, legible and sharply different in color from the color of the package on which they are affixed.
Manipulation marks and inscriptions must be either dark in color on light-colored surfaces or light in color on dark surfaces.
The materials used for marking shall be water-resistant, quick-drying, light-resistant, resistant to low and high temperatures, resistant to erasure and smearing.
The material from which the marks are made must ensure the safety of the applied information during the entire transportation and storage of the cargo until its delivery to the recipient.
