Baggage search

According to Article 118 of the Air Code of the Russian Federation, "the carrier is responsible for loss, shortage or damage of baggage after acceptance for transportation by air and before delivery to the passenger".

In case of non-arrival of the baggage it is necessary to address to the agent of the transportation organization service, who is located in the baggage claim hall or in the departure area, on the first floor of the airport terminal, window "Information".

Upon written request of the passenger, the specialist of the baggage search group will take the following measures in order to return your baggage:

  • sends a request to the airport of departure for the availability of your baggage;
  • sends inquiries to airports where the baggage may have been delivered by mistake;
  • sends a request for additional baggage if it is found.

In accordance with the current legislation of the Russian Federation, baggage is searched for within 21 days.

If the baggage is not found after this period, the passenger has the right to apply to the airline with a claim for compensation for damage caused by the loss of the baggage.
